Le Temps des Cerises / Axel Prüfer (Languedoc)
Carignan/Grenache Noir/Cinsault Blend • 2023
A field blend from a new parcel that Axel recently acquired. The grapes were harvested over the course of a month with each variety seeing different vinifications, some direct-press, some with varying amounts of whole-bunch maceration before élevage in large wooden foudre. The finished wine is a touch lighter than the previous vintage with layers of texture and interest from the unique blend. A fresh and versatile red which matches lithe acid with ripe black fruits, and just a touch of tannin.
