Cartoixa Vermell, also known in Spain as Xarel-lo Rosado, is a rare red-skinned mutation of Cartoixa, distinguished by its delicate, thin red skin and pink flesh. Harvested from a few small parcels of old vines, the grapes were destemmed and macerated for 32 days before undergoing a gentle pressing. The juice was then aged on fine lees for nine months in stainless steel tanks, enhancing its complexity and texture. Pouring in the glass a burnished amber, this shows a stunning balance of peach and ripe citrus notes, supported by an elegant structure and delicate tannins.
