A red and white blend with 50% Grolleau, 40% Chenin Blanc, and 10% Cabernet Franc. While L’Abiize ‘21 did not have any Chenin Blanc in the blend due to low yields, this cuvée is traditionally always blended with Chenin Blanc which Mariette describes as providing “tension” and “great energy.” And she is absolutely right, the ‘22 is a touch lighter in body with bright, aromatic red fruit and a vivid acidity.
