From 70 year old Grenache Noir vines planted right next to the surrounding Saint Jaume forest. After harvest the grapes were de-stemmed and macerated gently for 3 weeks before being pressed into old barrels for a year’s élevage. Even in a warmer vintage like 2018, this special plot with its elevation and shade from the forest conjures wines unusually elegant for the region. Whilst retaining a little tannin, this is pure fruited and reasonably light on the palate, with a long and complex finish.
