Le Corbières

Fond Cyprès (Languedoc)
Carignan / Syrah / Grenache • 2019

Described by Laetitia and Rodolphe as their snapshot of the vintage — a wine they are very proud of. Equal parts Carignan, Syrah and Grenache from vines between 20 and 70 years old grown on calcareous soil and blue marl. Grapes from each variety were macerated gently for 4 weeks before being transferred to barrels of different sizes for a 12 month élevage. The blend was then assembled and rested in tank for a month before bottling. Sightly firmer tannins and a pleasing density make this an ideal wine for the colder months and a good match for heartier dishes at the table.
