Marie Bourdon
Arbois, Jura

Following a few years as a sommelier in Paris, Marie Bourdon moved to Jura in 2016 as an apprentice to Raphael Monnier at Domaine Ratapoil before quickly becoming a collaborative partner. Now, Marie is embarking on her own venture, crafting pure and tense wines from a 1.2-hectare parcel in Arbois, releasing her first vintage in 2019.

Her modest vineyard, planted with Chardonnay and Trousseau, is situated on a north-facing parcel with a mix of marl and limestone based soils and has long been farmed biodynamically, previously being under the care of Domaine de la Touraize.

The wines themselves are as bright and focused as Marie. Her Vinyle cuvee is an exciting, fresh style of Chardonnay that showcases a unique minerality and saline structure which exudes life and beauty, vintage after vintage.
