L’Abiize

Mariette et Alberic (Loire)
Grolleau Noir / Cabernet Franc • 2021

Made primarily of Grolleau with only a small addition of Cabernet Franc, de-stemmed and macerated for 10 days in open-top, wooden fermenters. After pressing, the wine is transferred to old barrel for one year of quiet élevage. Concentrated on the palate and opaque in the glass with a beautiful deep-purple hue, L’Abilize generously leans towards soft, ripe dark fruit with layers of mossy complexity and dark, peppery spice, all punctuated by a fine, persistent tannin.
