All the Gamay from this vintage was harvested from very old vines on clay-rich steep slopes in southern Beaujolais. For 10 months, a small amount of whole-bunch gamay was submerged in a tank filled with direct-press gamay juice. At just 11.5% alcohol, this is very light in both colour and body, but carries a surprising density of fruit. Elegant yet lively, it’s a perfect bottle with a slight chill on a summer afternoon.
