New wines from Es D’Aqui

At the beginning of the year, what seems an age ago now, we paid a visit to superstar negociant Jean-Louis Pinto at his home and cellar in Limoux. He’s undoubtedly one of the warmest people we have encountered and an evening spent at his house was a pure delight, tasting through every vessel in the cellar and multiple back vintages at the table over dinner.

Jean-Louis has an incredible palate, valuing freshness and drinkability, whilst never clouding the terroir of each site, evoking which is the driving force behind much of his winemaking.

Much of what we shipped is from the 2019 vintage, which is looking like one of his very best, including two brand new pet’ nat’s and his first vintage of M&M Blanc, a co-ferment of Muscat and Mauzac.
